Streamer Cables
Over the years, analog and conventional diameter digital streamer systems
from Geophysical Instruments have set the commercial benchmark in the marine geophysical
industry.
More recently, we have proudly established a new benchmark with the SDS-55 Small
Diameter Streamer Array. The SDS-55 utilizes liquid crystal polymer stress members,
a novel spacer approach, waterproof hydrophones, and ingenious connector designs.
This design yields the most robust fluid-filled streamer in the industry.
Our streamer cable products range from single-channel analog cables to analog cables
with greater than 240 channels. Our digital cable sections are made to be compatible
with either the Syntrak or the Input-Output acquisition and recording systems.
Design efforts are currently underway to produce the next generation of streamer
cables. We are confident that our future designs will prove to be as reputable and
customer satisfying as our treasure chest of previous designs.
